Your reps counted automatically, with nothing to wear.
Counting out loud mid-burpee means losing count by round three. FitForm hands counting to the camera: pose detection locates 17 skeleton points frame by frame, and a state machine validates every rep on position, dynamics, and duration. No band, no watch, no video leaving your phone.

What separates a real counter from a guess
A camera sees range of motion; an accelerometer doesn't
A wrist wearable infers movement from shaking. A camera sees where your hips and knees actually are — so it sees the difference between a full squat and a half rep, which the wrist cannot.
A state machine, not a peak counter
Every exercise has phases (start, descent, bottom, drive). A rep only counts if all of them were crossed in order, over a plausible duration. That is what rules out fidgeting and half-movements.
Miss a rep rather than invent one
The engine's founding principle: when in doubt, don't count. A generous counter inflates a score but corrupts your tracking and your calories. The reliability target sits above 95% in that direction.
Nothing leaves the phone
The model runs locally, offline. Frames are neither stored nor transmitted: only skeleton points are computed, used to validate the rep, and discarded.
Gym vs home
Your whole gym fits in your living room.
Weight loss doesn't come from a membership or a commute. It comes from your consistency — and nothing kills consistency like the friction of getting to the gym.

Automatic rep counting — frequently asked questions
Do I need a smartwatch or fitness band?
No. That is the whole point: your phone's camera is enough. No wearable, no Bluetooth pairing, nothing to charge before a session.
How accurate is the counting?
The target is above 95% of reps correctly validated, with a deliberate bias toward undercounting: the engine would rather miss an ambiguous rep than validate an incomplete one. Conditions matter — full framing and decent lighting improve results noticeably.
Where do I put the phone during a session?
On the floor propped against a wall, or on a stable surface about two metres away, so your whole body fits in frame. The app tells you when you drift out of view so you can reframe before starting.
Does rep counting work without an internet connection?
Yes, entirely. Pose detection runs on-device: once the app is installed, a full session works in airplane mode.
Which exercises are recognised?
The 15+ bodyweight moves in the catalog: squat, lunge, push-up, glute bridge, hip hinge, leg raise, crunch, plank, jumping jack, high knees, mountain climber, butt kicks, jump squat, sprawl, and burpee.
